END OF 2015/2016 booo.
25/03/2016 - its been a long time since I last updated this and as there's 11 points to add to the table lets get straight into it…
The last update left us with nine games still to play but four
of those can be dealt with straight away as the Atherlsley Recreation,
Pickering Town, Pontefract Collieries and the Worskop Town home games all ended
in defeat so no team points were scored.
That leaves us with Adam Scott gaining a point for scoring
the goal that would have earned us a point at home to Garforth and Dan Fletcher
gaining two points for the goal that secured us the win in that same game.
Next up it’s the defenders that share the first point as
without Kieren Watson's goal the victory away at Clipstone would have ended in a
0-0 draw so he gets the extra 2.
The defenders also share the point won away at Albion Sports
as because we didn’t score that day it’s the clean sheet that secured the draw.
Unlike in the draw at home to Maltby where our opponents scored
two goals so our second on the day scored by Courtney Hastings is the point
securer (if such a word exists)
And finally for this season Mohammed Tijani gets the honour
as the last Staveley player to secure a point for his equaliser away at
Parkgate that would have secured as a draw had it not been for the unfortunate
Reece Wesley whose own goal contributed the extra two points won that day...
So the winner of “Who Got us the points?” for 2015/2016 is……

25/03/2016 - its been a long time since I last updated this and as there's 11 points to add to the table lets get straight into it…
As losing games yields no points we can chuck out the
Handsworth Parramore, Thackley, Cleethorpes Town and Pickering Town games
straight away so that leaves us with...
Clipstone at Home – as this was a 2-2 draw the goal that got
us that draw was the second one and was scored by Charlie Oglesby in the 90th
minute so he gets that point.
Retford at Home – a 2-1 win so the goal that would have
secured a draw was the first one so Adam Scott takes the first point on offer
and a Dan Fletcher goal turned that draw into a win so he gets the other two.
Nostell Away – a similar 2-1 win with Dan Fletcher once
again scoring the goal that turned a draw into a win so again takes two points
but it was a Kieren Watson penalty that would have earned a draw if Fletcher
hadn’t scored so he gets 1 point.
Tadcaster Albion at Home – Kieren Watson again scored the
first goal in our 2-1 win which would have earned a draw and therefore one
point is his, the extra two for turning a draw into a win go to Courtney
Hastings.
And lastly was the 2-2 draw at home to Barton Town OB and because you’ve probably got the hang of this now I’ll simply leave it at. Kurtis Morley takes the point for the second of our two goals.

02/02/2016 – six games played since the last update but games against Bridlington
(a) and Brigg (H) didn’t yield any points for the team so we’ll move swiftly
past those and onto the
2-4 victory at Handsworth Parramore on Boxing day where…
Adam Scott scored our second goal which for this is the goal
that would have got us a draw so he takes the point for that “draw”. Courtney
Hastings takes the further two points because his 44th minute effort
– our third, secured us the victory (although to be fair to Steve Carty scoring
our 4th goal settled a few nerves but for this it unfortunately doesn’t count)
Next up was our 3-1 home win against Liversedge and as Kieren
Watson scored all the goals its only fair that he takes all the points (1 for the draw had he only scored once and
Two more for securing the win as well)
Armthorpe Welfare came next and the clean sheet in the 0-4
win means that the defenders share the first point for securing the draw that
we would have got had Adam Scott not scored the first goal so he takes the
other two.
And finally for this update is the 2-2 draw away at
Rainworth where two goals from Kieren Watson secured us and him a point.

4/12/2015 - Thought it was time for an update because loads has happened since last time.
Lets forget about the away game at Garforth and move swiftly onto Barton Town (a) where Courtney Hastings added a point to his total because he scored the equaliser that earned us a point in that draw.
Hastings also scored the goals that not only would have earned a draw but also the goal that did give us all three points against Maltby at Muglet Lane so he "got us" all three points that day.
Next up was the win away at Athersley and a clean sheet means that the defence gets a point as we would have drawn 0-0 had Steve Carty not scored so he gets the other two and exactly the same can be said about the home win over Parkgate.
And finally comes that crazy game against Pontefract Collieries which isn't all that easy to work out but here goes we won 4-6 so unusually its our fourth goal from that afternoon which initially secured the first point for a draw and that on was scored by Kieren Watson. our fifth of the afternoon which was scored in the first half would you beleive secured us the points for the win and was scored by.... yes its Courtney Hastings again!!

23/10/2015 - Loads happened since the last update (which almost certainly should be done more often but you know how it is...) and a whopping twelve points need adding to the table.
we lost the away games against Retford United and Cleethorpes Town (12th / 26th September) and therefore don't count in this as the team gained 0 points from those games.
it'll come as no surprise to any of our regulars that Courtney Hastings' goals have contributed the most of our points since the last update with 7. they come about courtesy of scoring the goals that first of all WOULD have earned a draw against Albion Sports and Nostell, had the others not gone in. He also scored the goals that then gave us the extra two points in those games. His last point comes from scoring the first against Liversedge which again would have earned a draw...
...the extra two points from that Liversedge game go to Kurtis Morley as he scored the second in the 1-5 win and that means the points were already secure before the 3rd, 4th and 5th goals.
Likewise Adam Scott's opener secured the extra 2 points against Thackley because the defence kept a clean sheet and the team would have drawn without Adams goal and the extra point goes to them.
Heres the bean counter....

04/09/2015 - We've played five league games so far this season and got points in three of them the two defeats being the games against Bridlington and Rainworth both at home so moving swiftly on....
Three points were gained in the 2-3 win away to Brigg and Kieran Watsons goal turned what 'would have ' been a draw into a win so gets 2 points. the other point goes to Ellis Wall because his goal, (the second) secured what 'would have' been a draw had Watson not scored his.
The next points were gained in the win over Armthorpe Welfare at home where once again Kieren Watson gained 2 more points by scoring the goal (the first) that turned a draw into a win, without that goal the game 'would have' ended 0-0 so the clean sheet means that the defenders share a point, Watson's second and Adam Wisdoms goal in the 3-0 win are irellevant in this because they weren't necessary in securing the points.
Then we come bang up to date with the epic 3-4 win away at Worksop Town, as far as this is concerned our third goal scored by Jamie York secured the first point and the fourth goal and therefore the extra two points was scored by Adam Scott.
...and all that makes the first table of the season look like this.
