11th v Arnold Town (A) - Staveley fell behind to a Courtney Hastings strike from the edge of the area
but rallied towards the end of the first half and equalised when Ross Goodwin
rose highest in the box and planted a header against the inside of the post and
in off a defender, Adam Wisdom then secured victory by converting a penalty in
the second half awarded for a foul on Mohammed Tijani. 1-2 Win
15th v Shirebrook Town(A) - Jack Bradbury ensured 0-1 win, but the result of the day was seeing Julian Topless leave the field under his own steam after an
injury which required the attentions of an ambulance. 0-1 Win
18th v Mickleover Sports (H) - The first home game of preseason saw Mickleover Sports race
into a three goal lead thank to a penalty from Jacob Hazel, an Anthony
Griffiths Junior free kick and another strike from Jacob Hazel. Kurtis Morley
reduced the arrears before half time when he gathered the ball 30 yards out
strode forward and lashed the ball home from the edge of the box.
Kurtis made a game of it after the restart when he collected
a sublime Jamie York pass and slotted home, but despite numerous chances to
equalise Mickleover hung on. 2-3 L
