Preview: v Mickleover Sports - HOME - 18th July 2015 - 3pm.

Football is back at Inkersall Road at 3pm on Saturday 18th July where Mickleover Sports are the visitors....

The side that ended our Fa Cup campaign last season will arguably be our bigest test of preseason...

"Sports" who resigned after a 44 year stint playing in the Derby and District league joined the Central Midlands league in 1993 and have pretty much gone from strength to strength culminating in an exceptional season last year. When they gained promotion to the Evostick Premier League as champions of the Evostick South Division finishing just the nine points clear!!

Just like us Mickelover have played two friendlies so far and gained a 0-0 draw in the first against current League Two Champions Burton Albion.

They followed that up with a 2-1 defeat away at Gresley FC with Chris Palmer being credited with the goal that came either side of the homes sides efforts...apparently it was a cross that went in off a defender but they all count!

Regular Inkersall Road visitors may recognise some of the names that played against Gresley.
