2015/2016 gets underway for our Under 21s on Tuesday 21st of July when Jay Roper and Steve Bates take their HKL League Cup winning side from last season to Cannon Park in Retford to face a newly created Central Midlands League side...Retford FC, who are in fact Retford United's development squad.
“The Vikings” or Goole AFC if you prefer, invade Inkersall Road on Wednesday 22nd (7:45pm).

A relatively new club having formed in 1997, a year after Goole town ceased to exist and since then have enjoyed a meteoric rise to their current status as an Evostick South club .
Previous visits to Inkersall road include a year 2000 league encounter with Goole rampaging (and other such Viking references) all over a struggling Staveley side securing a 0-2 win.
However that defeat was avenged in an Fa Cup preliminary round replay tie in 2011 where Staveley went through 3-1.
Goole are yet to record a win in this preseason following a 1-.01 defeat at Selby Town and 2-2 draw away at Parkgate and a 0-2 defeat at home to a Hull City XI.

Formed in 1974 "The Poachers" started life in the Lincolnshire league and won promotion to the Central Midlands League:Supreme Division in their debut season in 2000. Relegation two seasons later didn't deter them and in 2006 they regained Supreme Division status, and won the title the following year gaining promotion to the Northern Counties East League Division One where they have been ever since.
Previous visits include last seasons 2-4 league cup win and an emphatic 0-8 win in our Division One title winning season of 2010 / 2011.
