Happy New Year everyone, heres hoping 2014 brings us all want we want and more besides.
Most of us however, celebrate the new year in August with the start of the Football season
Most of us however, celebrate the new year in August with the start of the Football season
So as we’re half way through I thought it was a good time to have a look at the season so far…
Appearances
Up to and including the Parramore game no less than 51 players have pulled on the blue and white stripes for the first team this season. Of those 51, Josh Scully is the main man with a total of 30 league and cup appearances (27 starts 3 sub)
As we'll never get tired of watching spectacular goals here's a reminder of the one he got against Glossop
Closely following Josh are Jamie Smith 26 (24+2) James Colliver (21 + 4) and Michael Trench (21 +2)
We also have used 7 different goal keepers, the number 1 shirt however is not the most changeable shirt in the squad that honour goes to the number 11 as there have been no less than 16 different players wearing it.
Goal Scorers
Leading the way on 7 goals (5 League + 2 Cup) is still Jordan Turner who left the club in September, next are: on 6 Ryan Damms (5+1) and also on 6 Matt Thorpe (3+3).
The rest of the goals have been spread around the team and a total of seventeen players have found the net this season in all competitions.
When have goals flown in?
Most of our league goals scored this season have flown in in the last 15 minutes 31.4% of them in fact that’s 11 in real money.
Strangely although the percentage is different at 24.4% we have also conceded 11 in the final fifteen minutes of league games!
This reflects the whole premier division stats as this segment accounts for most of the goals scored in the league as a whole 269 in total.
This will take some more explaining and I’ll do that on another page but basically this is the “stat” that tells us who actually made the telling contribution in terms of winning us the points this season.
There’s a three way tie at the top of the table with Jordan Turner, Pat Lindley and Reece Littlejohn have all won the team 3 points.

We are though top of the table when it comes to home attendances and have the leagues best away win 0-8 v Lincoln Moorlands.
Happy new year.
